Monster Caramel is a family fantasy with adventure and good humor about a small creature that looks like a cute stuffed animal, but is actually a rare monster with a huge heart and unpredictable magic. Caramel falls into the hands of a schoolgirl who is going through a difficult period, and becomes for her at the same time a secret, a friend and a source of chaos. Together they learn to understand each other, hide from hunters of rare creatures and find other monsters lost in the human world. The series builds on warm scenes of friendship and acceptance, but gradually reveals a larger plot about why the border between worlds has weakened and who is trying to use the monsters as a resource. Monster Caramel reminds us that strength doesn’t have to be scary, and vulnerability can become a bridge between different beings.
